Gentlemen,

Our next Big Dawgs breakfast is coming up on the 17 of this month. Daniel Bauer will give his story, so plan to be there. Unfotunately, I won't be able to make as Sue and I have a commitment out of town that weekend..

Gentlemen...

I am going to start making more use of this forum, and will make sure you all have a way to access it as soon as possible. We have this system available to us, so we should take advantage of it.

At any rate here is the lesson for this upcoming week:

Joy in the Community
Philippians 3:17 -4:9
Devotional Reading: Psalm 46

I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday

Peace,

Mike <><

The Promised Birth Fulfilled

The Lineage of David

Ruth 4:13-17; Matthew 1:1-6

1. Tell how Boaz and Ruth played key roles in the ancestry of Jesus.
2. Explain how God’s providence works through such “normal” events as the birth of a child.
3. Suggest two or three ministry opportunities that may have come providentially to him or her and how these opportunities will be seized.

The women living there said, “Naomi has a son.” And they named him Obed. He was the father of Jesse, the father of David.     —Ruth 4:17

The New Covenant Community

A Hopeful People

2 PETER 3:1–13

1. Summarize what Peter said about those who scoff at the idea of the Lord’s return and about the truth of the “day of the Lord.”
2. Tell how the promise of the Lord’s return motivates him or her to holy living.
3. Write a poem, song, or prayer expressing gratitude for God’s patience.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
—2 Peter 3:9

Ms Becky will be out of town. If you do not have a part in the Christmas play, please go to youth room to join high schoolers and Bid in Bible study OR go to sanctuary and help Ms. Helen keep all those little kids still.
